Bitfinex mobile app

Team Bitfinex has developed a proprietary application that can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play. The app has many service features available, making it convenient to trade from any mobile device. It adapts all the features of the platform so that users can use all the services at any time, anywhere they have access to the Internet.

Registration

Enclosed. bitfinex.com account creation is available. This is a feature for those who don’t have an account yet crypto exchanges. To register, you have to:

• Open the application and click the “Register” button at the top.
• In the proposed form, enter your name, e-mail, password, and check the box to agree to the terms of the service. For convenience, you can select your time zone.
• Create and confirm a PIN for the app. It will be prompted each time you sign in from your mobile device. If Face ID or Touch ID is available on your gadget, you can also enable it.

In the next step, the system will ask you to enable 2FA authentication. Two options are available for this:

• Through the 2FA app, which opens the Google Authenticator on the phone after the user agrees. Once opened, the new token will be added to the list automatically.
• Through QR and a secret code.

You can paste the generated code or enter a token from the Google Authenticator in the field in the exchange app. After confirming it, an email will be sent. Using the link in it, you can confirm the creation of the account.

Log in

If you already have an account on Bitfinex, you can use an API key to log in to the application. To create it, it is necessary to go to the “API” section of Bitfinex website and select the permissions that can be given to the new key (account data, account history, orders, margin trading and collateral, wallets, withdrawals). When the key is created, the user will see a QR code in the browser. It must be scanned with an application on the phone or enter the key and the secret key. After entering the account information, it will also be necessary to create a PIN code to log in to the program.

Fast payment

Fast Pay function is available in Bitfinex application for making fast payments. Now the option does not support all cryptocurrencies, for now only BTC (LN-BTC) and USDT (via Tron, Solana and Liquid). To use the service through the app, you need:

• Open the program and go to the wallets section.
• Click the “Pay” button and select a currency.
• Click on the “Get” button, enter the deposit amount and generate a QR code. To send funds through this option, you need to click on “Scan” in the “Quick Payment” section and pay the invoice on the “Instant Payments” page.

There is a limit on the expenditure of funds under this option. It is 1000 US dollars per day.

Placing Orders

The application has a “Trade” section. It allows you to manage orders, create new orders, monitor open positions and study history. To place an order in the program, you need to log in to your account and select a trading pair in the “Trade” section. The service redirects to the tab “Order Form”. Here you can choose between exchange and margin trading. After entering the quantity and price, you must select the type of order. From the list of orders you can select the one you want to cancel or modify. The service will redirect to the section “Information on the order”. There you can choose to cancel or modify.

Account replenishment

Deposit is available in the Bitfinex app. For now it is only possible to deposit cryptocurrency, fiat is not offered. To replenish the balance it is necessary to check the rights of the API-key. To do this, go to the settings and the “Rights” tab in the program. The key must have access to the “Transfer between wallets” function. If it has such rights, go to the page of keys and create a new one by moving the slider to “Enabled” for the option to transfer between wallets. You can also change the permissions of an already-created key. You must close the app and open it again for the new settings to take effect.

The next step is to deposit funds into your account. Go to “Wallets – Deposit”. Select the type of payment and the wallet to which the funds will be transferred and the currency. The service will redirect you to the page with the deposit address. You can use a QR code or a copy icon.
