CEX.IO mobile app

Exchange CEX.IO has developed a convenient application for mobile devices. With it, you can trade many digital assets anywhere. The program combines the tools of a trading platform with a simple interface. Available are tracking and comparing market movements that are displayed on charts, placing and managing orders, depositing and withdrawing funds, and setting up notifications.

When the app is installed crypto exchanges, the user must log in. The program is available in 3 languages: English, Russian and Spanish. To switch the language:

• Log in to the office through the app.
• Go to “Profile” and click on “Change Language”.

Log in

To log in to your account, download and install the application at cex.io, click “Profile” at the bottom right. You can log in to CEX.IO by entering your email and password, using the QR code or by entering your API key. Enter the 2FA code and come up with a 4-digit password. This can be used to quickly log in to the application. You can also log in using a QR code. Simply generate the code by logging in to CEX.IO through your browser. Go to “Profile” by the button at the top, select “Mobile”, click on “Create Activation Key” and specify 2FA.

To view the QR code, click “Show”. In the program for mobile devices, select “Enter via QR code” and scan it. It will be valid for 10 minutes. If there are problems with authorization by mail or through QR, you can use the API key. Press “There is a problem” and choose to log in with the API. Enter the trader ID, the key and the API secret code (they are created like the QR).

Verification through the app

Every user of CEX.IO can go through the procedure of identity confirmation through the branded application of the exchange. To do this, you have to log in and go to “Profile – Confirmation”. To send an application for verification, you must do the following:

• Specify the country of residence.
• Confirm the phone number. Select the country code and enter the number to which the code will be sent.
• Select the type of identity document from the list (passport, passport or driver’s license). Take a photo so that all the edges of the document fit into the frame on the screen.
• Fill in personal information: name and surname, date and place of birth.
• ID card data: serial number, country of issue, expiration date.
• Take selfies with the document.

Extended identity verification with additional information, including employment and source of funds, is also available. To do this, select Confirmation – Address in the Profile tab. You can add a utility or electric bill, bank or tax statement. To confirm the address, specify the type of document, take a photo of it, and specify the address. You can link your social media accounts if you wish. After verification, the compliance department will send an email with its result.

Adding a map

It’s easy to add any bank card to the CEX.IO app so you can deposit and withdraw money to it in a few clicks at any time. Log in, go to “Profile” and select “Card Manager – Add”. Provide information about the payment instrument: number, expiration date. Usually the verification takes up to 5 minutes. When the procedure is finished, you will receive a notification on your e-mail. Sometimes you may need additional information to verify the card. In this case the exchange specialist will write to the e-mail.

Account replenishment

With the branded app, you can quickly make a deposit in cryptocurrency. To do this, select the desired asset and enter the amount to be deposited. By copying the address or scanning the QR code, you can transfer money from a third-party wallet to your CEX.IO account. In the same way you can top up your account from a bank card. You have to choose the currency, amount, click on “Deposit” and choose the payment instrument. If no card has been verified yet, a new card can be added by entering its data. After selecting the card, you must enter the CVV/CVS code and 3DS code, which will come in an SMS-message or e-mail.

Withdrawal of funds

Cryptocurrency withdrawals are also available through CEX.IO’s proprietary application. The system saves addresses in the withdrawal section so you can quickly use them for your next transactions. In the app, you can confirm the withdrawal via a withdrawal PIN. This is faster than entering a 2FA or using an e-mail link. To withdraw cryptocurrency through the mobile app:

• Open the withdrawal page.
• Go to “Wallet” and select coins.
• Click on “Withdraw money”.
• Enter the amount. Check the amount including commission.

Add a destination address. Click “Add New”, specify its name (you can use any name you want). Enter the address or scan the QR of the external software. It will be saved for future outputs.

• Accept the terms of service and payment, as well as the return policy.
• Confirm the transaction through the PIN code. When you withdraw funds for the first time, you need to set a code.

You can also withdraw fiat money through the CEX.IO application. To withdraw funds, you need to open the withdrawal section in the program, go to the wallet menu and specify the currency. Click the “Withdrawal” button and enter the amount and select a card in a new window. If there is no added card, its details can be entered in the application. Accept the terms of use, payment, refund and cardholder agreement. There is no need for additional confirmation for this operation.

Cryptocurrency exchange

There is also an option to exchange cryptocurrencies. To use this feature, open the program and follow the steps below:

• Click on “Exchange” below.
• Choose the coins for the operation.
• Enter the amount. You can do this manually or use the slider. You can also choose from 25 to 75% balance or convert all coins.
• Click on “Exchange” and confirm the transaction.
• Check your CEX.IO account. The converted assets will show up on your balance after a few seconds. The final amount may differ from the potential amount due to changes in the market. Details of transactions and commissions can be found in “Trade Pro – History” in the app. Transactions carried out by means of exchange are displayed in the form of market orders.

Buy/sell

CEX.IO’s proprietary app allows you to instantly sell or buy the currency you want with your bank card. To make a transaction, you need:

• Select “Buy” or “Sell”, cryptocurrency and fiat.
• Select an available package or enter an amount.
• Click “Buy (Sell) Now” and select a payment method. You can use a verified or new debit/credit card. You can pay with funds from your account or sell an asset and have it credited to your balance. To do this, swipe to the left and select “Balance”.
• Double-check all the information and click “Continue” to confirm the transaction. The money will be credited to your account or card after a few seconds.

Trade Pro tools

You can place orders in the proprietary application. For this purpose, the program has a “Trade Pro” item. It has “Market” and “Limit” tabs. To purchase cryptocurrency through a market order:

• Enter the amount in the currency that is in the pair.
• Click on “Buy” to see the estimated amount that will be received taking into account the current exchange rate. Click on “Buy.
• The order will be executed and the coins will immediately appear on CEX.IO’s balance. You can sell cryptocurrency using market order in the same way.

To use a limit order, you need to enter the number of tokens, the desired price, click on “Buy” or “Sell” and check the order details. Place it. When the price in the market reaches the desired value, the order will be executed. Limit can be canceled at any time until the order is executed. Setting up order notifications is available to receive push notifications in the program after execution.

To check the details of all trades, you can go to “Trade Pro” and open the history. It has information on all completed market and limit orders with these details:

• the time when the order was executed or cancelled;
• order identifier;
• sum;
• The price at which the order was executed;
• order fee;
• the total amount of money spent.

Transactions made through the “Buy”, “Sell” and “Exchange” function are shown in the list of market orders.
