To start trading, you need to click on the selected pair and go to the trading terminal. In the terminal on top, from left to right, the traded pair, the price with percentage change of the main currency in the pair, the price of the index, the forecasted financing rate for the next 15 minutes, the interest rate in the main currency, the volume per day and the settings are shown. You can add futures display details in the settings.

Under the top navigation bar is placed the trading chart, a classic type TradingView. In the upper part of the chart you can change the time interval and the display type (by default, Japanese candlesticks); compare the selected pair with another with the possibility to add another pair; add an indicator to the chart and chart display settings. Additional information is placed to the right of the price chart: index and mark-to-market prices, minimum order. Futures trading is possible with leverage and here is the leverage information: leverage size, collateral, support margin and more.

Under the trading chart is the order book (Depth of Market), horizontally oriented, selling on the right side, buying on the left side of the table. To the right of the Depth of Market there is a futures buy/sell service, you need to specify the number of coins to sell or buy, select the order type in the drop-down menu or above the “Deposit” button, check the entered parameters and, if all the data is correct, click “Deposit”.

Statistics of last trades on the traded pair is placed on the right side of the buy/sell service, under it there are statistics of user’s orders by open orders, orders with limit, order history and history of trades. The terminal for spot trading looks similar to the futures terminal, but margin trading here is possible only after connecting 2FA.

Other markets

Stocks

In the table of traded stocks at the top you can choose the type of trade, spot or futures. Tokenized shares are traded on the exchange. When you go to the terminal, the platform prompts for a link to information about what a tokenized stock is. The trading terminal is similar to the spot terminal, however, the buy/sell button is not “Deposit” but “Agree to Terms”. The button is active, by clicking on it, the user is taken to a page with descriptions of terms and conditions. In order to trade shares, one must undergo an additional document check and upgrade the status of the account.

Shoulder tokens

Leveraged tokens are a specific financial product based on ERC20 tokens that don’t require the intricacies of margin trading, although the risk inherent in leveraged trading remains. The specifics of trading leveraged tokens with the underlying asset BULL/BEAR/HEDGE should definitely be studied in the “Step-by-Step Guide to Leveraged Token Trading” section of the FTX exchange, because it is a rather unusual way of earning, yet not widespread. In order to trade BULL/BEAR/HEDGE leveraged tokens, the user must connect 2FA and confirm that they understand the specifics of the product. The trading terminal for tokens is the same as for spot or futures.

Volatility

The Volatility section presents options on cryptocurrencies and rather specific financial products on the FTX exchange: MOVE contracts and BVOL tokens. MOVE contracts are a peculiar version of futures, the closing price of which depends not on the price of the token itself, but on the amount of change in that price. But MOVE contracts are calculated on the absolute value of token movement over a period of time.

BVOL tokens are ERC20 tokens whose price depends on the perceived volatility of the markets and are traded through MOVE FTX and BTC-PERP contracts. That is, the price depends on the trading of the MOVE FTX and BTC-PERP contracts. MOVE and BVOL are quite an innovative way to make money on the volatility of the crypto market with leverage. Since it is still a little-known product, you should be sure to explore it in the FTX Derivatives section. The trading terminal for trading these derivatives is about the same as for spot.

As for the “Predictions” section, these are actually bets expressed as futures. Right now there are only two events in this section, the Brazilian presidential election in 2022 and the American election in 2024. Finally, the “Fiat” section is trading in pairs with traditional fiat currencies.
