Top up your Currency.com account with your card

That it is necessary to deposit funds into an account, the exchange Currency.com will remind you every time you log in to your account on the site currency.comif the client’s balance is zero (Fig. 1).

In demo mode, you can watch a video tutorial on how to deposit your account. You can switch to the demo mode by clicking on the “Live” button in the upper right corner of the site.

When there is money on the balance, you can enter the service in the “Live” or the button “Wallets” or the button “Enter funds” at the bottom left of the site.

To transfer money in the service window, enter the number of the card, its expiration date, CVV and the amount to be transferred. For the first transfer the commission is not charged, subsequent transfers are subject to a fee. At the end of the transaction user needs to confirm that he is the owner of the card. If all the information is correct, the money will be credited almost immediately; it is the fastest way to transfer money to the Currency balance. You can credit the Currency balance immediately after registration, but you should know that you can only trade without verification for 15 days, for the equivalent of $ 1000. If you do not verify your identity during that time, your account will be blocked.

Payment system rules

You can use debit, credit or virtual VISA and MasterCard cards, which support online payments and 3-D secure (confirmation of transactions by online message, e.g. SMS), to deposit money into your Currency Exchange account. Gift cards and prepaid cards cannot be used.

USD, EUR, GBP, RUB and BYN are credited to the Currency account. During the transaction, there is an automatic conversion to the currencies that are supported by the exchange. That is, in fact, you can deposit any currency, but it is converted to the currency, which is available on the exchange. Conversion is carried out at the bank rate. The bank may also charge a fee for the transaction.

Taking into account all these features, the actual amount received on the Currency account will be different from the pre-calculated amount. The card from which the money is credited to the account must be in the name of the deposit holder. If funds are credited from a third party card, the Currency account can be blocked until the money is returned to the card.

When depositing funds from both VISA and MasterCard, the exchange charges a fee of 3.5%. The minimum deposit amount is the equivalent of 20USD, there is no limit on the amount deposited, there is a formal limit on the amount of a single deposit, 1500USD, if you need to deposit more, you will have to repeat the transaction. By the way, the limit of $1,500 is specified on the exchange in the rules, but directly in the form of crediting restrictions are different: 1000 USD, 500 EUR, 750 GBP.

A deposit transaction may be rejected on the Currency Platform if the credit card details do not match the deposit details, if the bank card details are incorrect, if 3d-secure is not supported, if the card limits are not the same as the exchange limits. Also, you will not be able to make a deposit if the amount exceeds the one-time limit specified in the form in which data is entered.

If all the data is correct, but the money cannot be deposited, you should contact the support service of the card-issuing bank. In addition, if the transaction is unsuccessful, do not immediately repeat it, the bank may block the card if you try to withdraw money from it to the exchange more than 2 times within about 10 minutes. It is better to pause and once again carefully check all the data.

Additional challenges

According to the rules of the exchange, the bank card must belong to the owner of the deposit on the Currency platform. If the exchange has doubts about this, it may require proof of ownership of the card. Then the user will have to take a selfie with the bank card in front of his face. The first 6 digits and the last 4 digits of the number, the expiration date and the name of the credit card holder should be visible. Accordingly, if the name and digits are on different sides of the card, you will have to take two selfies.

The exchange is only interested in information about the owner, so the CVV/CVC numbers should be hidden. If the card is virtual, the user takes selfies so that the card is visible on the monitor of some device, computer or tablet. Images are accepted in JPG, PNG, JPEG, PDF, MOV, MP4, and must be crisp, clear, with no highlighting, and all four corners of the credit card must be in the frame. Photos are sent to: [email protected].

If the Currency deposit receives $20,000 or €18,000 during one month, the account user will be asked to confirm the origin of the funds. For example, if the user received money as a salary, he will send to the exchange the payroll for the last three months or an employment contract, statements on the movement of funds, tax returns, certificates of completed work or other supporting documents. Documents will also be required if the user has accumulated money, received it as a result of selling real estate, taken on credit, received it as an inheritance or as a result of divorce or a court decision.
