Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) is the financial regulator in Cyprus.
As Cyprus is part of the European Union, CySEC is part of the European MiFID regulations. This gives Cypriot-registered firms, which are regulated by CySEC, the freedom to operate in all European Union member states.
CySEC was founded in 2001.
