Scam me into buying their insurance
Economy Bookings sold me an insurance that can not be used in California state. I had to end up purchasing an insurance that was 3 times more than what I bought from Economy Bookings or else the associate from the car rental company wouldn’t release the car.
The associate from the car rental claimed that the insurance that I bought from Economy Bookings was not valid in California state.
After numerous attempt of calling Economy Bookings, someone finally picked up the call but hung up on me after I expressed that I would take further action if refund is not being made.
I emailed Economy Bookings the same day I picked up the car to try to understand the situation but did not get any reply until 10 days after telling me that a refund or cancelation can only be made 24 hours prior to the pickup.
There was no resolution other than telling me that Economy Bookings only refund within 24 hours before picking up the car but in my incident. How would customers know about the insurance that can not be used in the state of California if it wasn’t stated clearly on the website?
Economy Bookings shouldn’t have encouraging customers to purchase the insurance if it doesn’t apply to particular states.
Up to this date, no one had reach out explaining the situation other than telling me that they can not issue a refund.
