At the end of last year, I realized that I could not continue in my current position. The job was devoid of prospects, and management was pressuring tension. At the same time I always observed 1C programmers who worked remotely or came on request. I myself am a sysadmin to the bone. This is interested me, and I decided to try to master this field.
When I started training, I realized that I did not make a mistake in my choice. After about a year and a half I already had a small portfolio, I was successfully doing my homework and immersing myself in the language (thankfully in Russian), and all the materials were going through my head.
A couple of days ago I was invited to an interview, where I did well on a test assignment and passed the selection process. Even with no work experience, they took me on an internship where I was able to demonstrate my skills. Here’s a review of how Skillbox helped me make transition from system administrator to coding 🙂
