Simple, Beginner-Friendly Exchange — If You’re Ready for Verification
I decided to try cryptocurrency in early 2024 — a friend recommended EXMO as something “for regular people without all the complexity.” And honestly, I liked how quick the registration was: filled out the form, confirmed my email — done in minutes.
Verification, however, took more effort. I initially submitted just my passport, but later they asked for an additional selfie holding a paper with the date. That was a bit annoying, but in the end, my account was verified in two days. After that, all features became available — fiat deposits and withdrawals to a bank card. Without verification, as I understood, you can only transfer crypto within the system.
I don’t use the platform daily, but occasionally buy USDT or ETH. I wouldn’t use EXMO for long-term storage — it doesn’t offer cold wallets, and I don’t fully trust centralized services for that. But as an entry point into crypto, it’s very convenient. My son (a programmer) said the platform looks “old-school,” but reliable.
I haven’t experienced any issues — deposits via cards go through quickly. The only downside for me is the mobile app, which could be faster — it lags a bit when I open the wallet or order list.
Bottom line: EXMO is a great option for beginners, as long as you’re prepared to go through identity verification. I’d describe it as a “cozy” exchange — calm, stable, without the chaos of Binance and its intimidating charts.

Solid platform
Been using Exmo for a few months, and it’s super user-friendly. Withdrawal is quick, though sometimes the fees feel a bit high. Overall, very solid platform!
I live in Germany for more than 25 years, I was blocked for writing to support in Russian and accessing my account from Russian ip-addresses! I do not recommend
